Its the empty calcifer shell that owes mantle,not the directors personally.This is why companies structures are set up in the first place,so it is the entity(which is broke)which is liable for any debts,not those controlling the company.I wouldnt place any expectations on getting anything,as expectation is the mother of dissapointment.
