The stirile land area is shaded in green. In this website, stirile land is described as:

"Sterile land is where exploration or mining tenure is prohibited, or virtually prohibited, on the grounds of requirements of - Mineral Resources Act 1989, Legislation of other authorities, Government policy. Although applications for mining tenures for mineral and coal over sterile land will be accepted, they will most likely be rejected. Petroleum tenures may be subject to conditions of other authorities."
