Just going over a few other start up Mines in SA and centrex's 4 to 5 mtpa has a start up cost of 1.5 bil. While ixr mt woods 2.5 mtpa is 291 mil.
Going over the costs and rail suprised me being 26 dollars a tonne. You wonder how much could be saved when SA opens a ore terminal to take cape and Panamax carriers. Savings in shipping costs and rail could knock a few dollars off cost making ore landed in china costs down 70 to 80 dollars. Quite a big saving.
Also suprised me in peer comparision how relatively cheap start up costs are.
