It's not just the Cancet extension that needs further prep work prior to further drilling, it's the main strike too. The announcements explained that they only recognized this need after phase II's 10 holes of drilling, which didn't return results anywhere near the game changing results from first 40 holes. They already tried the quick drilling everyone is asking for and it didn't work well geologically, the share price still hovered around 30c after the results regardless which shows a lot of people cared more about the drilling happening than it being done accurately and efficiently. So yes, drilling could have been done by now and the share price would have been much higher but at the expense of lengthening the runway (and dilution) before the company can lift off as a producer.
