the arc on the chart is the low monthly close price trend for past 10 years

even on shorter timeframes price rarely went below that arc in all that time - and always rose above it later

mqrch 2020 was an outlier trend break and SnapBack - same as it was for nearly every financial asset. - ie same was true in bonds

the point of charts is to identify probabilities to bet

the silver chart currently says it’s in on of the best risk/return positions you could want - and nothing yet suggests the overall arc price low trend has broken

as always - odds are best when pessimism highest and price relationships are at extremes

which is precisely why the us investment banks do it

idont agree on inflation

silver has never had a direct linear relationship with inflation

the link stretches and tightens at different times

there is a fairly direct link of inflation linked bonds to gold price but it’s not 1;1 correlation

right now us 10yr tips are at a price that would require 2000+ usd gold price

instead it’s 1735

but often you then get catchup and overtake

and silver tends to be the amplifier - more gold starts to catch-up more silver outperforms

but true precious metal inflation demand is not around current inflation levels but rising fear of future inflation

it’s when populations start having sharply rising future inflation expectations that gold and silver start getting bought emotionally as well as intellectually and prices surge
