To put it simply, they do not intend to mine in the heritage area. They intend to mine under it!! The entry/exit point will be outside of it. They may need some minimal infrastructure for ventilation etc above ground, but this should not upset the yellow-footed wallabies and other important species too much.
That's my opinion. Others may not be, but I am happy with the level of risk. There is much less risk now in MTN than ever. I may buy some more on the market.
