One would hope by 31 December 2024, MTS has a newly acquired database of a few hundred thousand members through IGA Rewards.
The success of the best supermarket program, WOW's Woolworths Rewards, can't have escaped MTS' management.
It's good to differentiate the IGA version from COL/WOW.
The store I went to had quite a few 'members' prices' shelf stickers placed. Because IGAs are largely locally owned (excluding chains like Ritchies), a key to the program's success will be ensuring that member discounts are visible.
Last week's IGA catalogue (expiring on Tuesday night 30 July 2024) doesn't have mention yet of 'member prices' but in time that may change. Instead it's promoting 'half price specials' available to all, member or non-member.
