The prohibitions on the sale of fertilizers derived from Belarusian potash due to its political drift,
including the sanctions imposed by the United States on this country, one of the largest exporters on the planet,
have had a notable impact on these price increases.
To this has been added the suspension of international trade due to the pandemic, and the subsequent congestion of containers in international ports due to the sudden economic reactivation.
The world population, which today is around 7,000 million people, will reach 11,200 million in 2100.
Agricultural production has to meet this demand with less arable land. And it is only possible to maximize the yield of the land with an adequate use of fertilizers, such as POTASH.
The situation is not easy, and in fact, the UN has warned that we are approaching "unprecedented catastrophic levels" ensuring that we run a serious risk of food security.
