Range Resources (LON:RRL, ASX:RRS) said the pilot hole for the Mukhiani-1 exploration well in Georgia has reached the planned depth of 700 metres and has been logged with the results confirming the geological characterisctics the group was expecting.

The pilot hole is currently being widened after which casing will be run and cemented and drilling will then resume with a target total depth of approximately 3,500 metres expected to be reached in mid-September.
