Was just reading some past announcements. For stage 1 I see that as part of the mining process there will be 1 to 2 million tonnes of rock salt excavated. Rock salt I believe can sell for $60 to $80 US /tonne. Don't know the cost for transport but the majority of the cost would have been accounted for in the SOP mining as this is a byproduct (there is atleast 300 million tonnes of this). There is also the kieserite which sells for $100 to $120 tonne US and there is 85 million tonnes. This goes direct to the tailings dam. Don't know the cost for extracting and transport of this but there is surely a lot to like about the byproducts. The more I read, the more I like!
