Some day AZL may be able to afford a full-time CEO. For now, though, they get by with Paul Lloyd, who works three jobs to make ends meet.

One of his other jobs is Non-Executive Chairman of Diablo Resources, the company you may remember as having been spun off from Hawkstone during the era when alchemist investors hoped to turn gold into lithium. Diablo has various exploration projects in the Western US, much as it did four years ago. Any production? Are you kidding? Yet is has a market cap of $2.2 million. Soon it is floating an issue of 32 million shares at 1.8 cents, “To fund exploration expenditure and working capital.” Yes, that working capital must keep flowing, to make payroll.

Then Lloyd is also Non-Executive Chairman of BPM Minerals, which is doing slightly better with a market cap of $4.5 million. They are exploring for gold in Western Australia. “BPM has been actively exploring the Claw Gold Project over the past 2 years, recently completing a third exploration drilling program.” He’s really good at this exploration stuff. Production, not so much.

At least Lloyd doesn’t have to travel far from job to job. All three companies are located on Level 2 of 10 Outram Street, in West Perth. So don’t say he’s not “on the Level.” I think Outram was named after a British colonial military officer who fought the Indians. No, not the Native Americans, the other ones.
