"Already one of Australia's biggest undeveloped copper-gold resources (1.2 million tonnes of copper and 1.1 million ounces of gold), Hillside has long had a resource target set by Rex of 1.5 million to 2.8 million tonnes of copper, with an attendant increase in the gold.

Rex has a half a dozen or so drilling rigs whirring away on the property and given exploration results reported in recent times, the expectation is that a substantial increase on what is at present known is in the bag.

We will know soon enough. Rex has previously flagged an announcement that a resource upgrade would be made in late July. While confirmation of Hillside's growing stature will be welcome news, what the market is really hanging out for is some direction on Rex's development plans for the deposit, one that sits on just a small section of a 60-kilometre stretch of prospective ground on the Pine Point copper belt."
