so in one area - supposedly multiculturism doesn't work
but, amazingly in other places it does -----------
so, wackadoodledoos think - it doesn't work for us, so it doesn't work - it must be the other's fault, they are so different
hmmmm - how about that for the wackadoodledoos - they have a lack of skills and character traits that causes the failure?

then we go on to quote (unreferenced Merkel) --------- who would have been speaking about a specific event or set of events - badly managed ---------
because overall, multiculturism has worked very very well in Germany - indeed, it has powered Germany to be the powerhouse of Europe. It's got a few problems lately post covid. It had a problem when Merkel opened the gates too wide.
But, in general - for decades - multiculturism has done Germany a great service.

the Roman Empire was built on multiculturism - and it lasted quite a while.
