    No they aren't. They are not my forebears nor are they the forebears of most Australians.

    In the time of these photographs these people / minority groups made up a tiny percentage of this country's population. Miniscule.

    There have always been very small populations of Chinese ( apart from the spike when they came and then left after the Gold Rush of the 1850's - 1860's ) here and even much smaller populations of Afghans ( as in the cameleers ) but in the scheme of things these groups did not form the country and / or its traditions, its industry, its political system, its education system including our ( once -) great universities, its agriculture, its art and design, its viticulture, its trade links and so on.

    All of those elements just like all of our inherited culture is overwhelmingly and dominantly Western European because - struggle as you choose to do so with it - the truth is that Australia was made and formed overwhelmingly by White Europeans, by Us and Our Forebears.

    Those are the facts.
