My parents came here from Italy in 1949 and have contributed much to Australian society. They fitted in, worked hard, always paid their taxes and never claimed the dole. They love Australia and are forever grateful..They see themselves as Australians first. Yes, they still like pasta but also like a meat pie just as much! Having been born here, I too see myself as a proud and hardworking Aussie. I love my cricket, footy (go Pies) and my ugg boots. There's many posts on here about gloom and doom. However, there's also the flip of the coin. There's many success stories out there.
