Orwellian.
As a parent I'd want to know:
1. Are other schools giving the same to their pupils.
2. Why are the children being asked their opinions on such matters.
3. Will the results be passed on to any agencies, including government bureaucracies, outside the school.
4. Is the teacher planning to change the children's opinions and if so, what for and for whom.
5. Has the teacher been directed to do this, or similar exercises, from an outside source, or was it her/his own idea.
6. Inform the P&C and see what others think, if you are concerned.
Perhaps the teacher did it off their own bat, and nothing more will come of it, but it does seem rather strange.
Controlling governments have a long history of using schools to produce the adults they wish to have in the future. Non-thinking, docile automatons comes to mind.
