I don't necessarily agree with the original poster but I think it is entirely reasonable to link refugees with multiculturalism. How many refugees has Australia taken from the great, developed English speaking democracies that we share such a common heritage and culture with like USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, New Zealand? I would hazard a guess it is close to zero.
