I don't necessarily agree with the original poster but I think it is entirely reasonable to link refugees with multiculturalism. How many refugees has Australia taken from the great, developed English speaking democracies that we share such a common heritage and culture with like USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, New Zealand? I would hazard a guess it is close to zero.

And if you look at the baseline ancestries from the 2016 census you'll see that the impact of our refugee policy will be negligible against the existing demography
