agree with some of that but the politics in USA is much nastier much more childish and more intense and they don't have compulsory voting.
Non-compulsory voting means that the pollies can completely ignore the demographics that don't , which is usually the most disadvantage people in their society.
Not a good freedom to give politicians at all.
We need them to work hard for all parts of society not just the people who vote for them.
