I forgot to mention how low key the annmnt style was in regard to the 650Mtr 0.49%Cu annmnt the gun slinger came out with.This management seem more intent on getting the market to concentrate on whats much deeper in the profile.

Its interesting to reflect on not only the S36 hole annmnt but also the Mooiplats annmnt which carried similar INTENT it appears.

This is not to say that the higher level mineralisation might not be mineable.These are some of the points made in the original JV annmnt(17/6/04)

* The Kitumba prospect contains 3 major Olympic dam style breccia systems which are copper or copper-gold bearing,and which are distributed along N-S and NE-SW trending structures and contacts.

* Geological,textural and geophysical data support the intensive leaching and oxidation of the upper portions of the breccia systems,particularly where silicification is weak.

* Geophysical and geological data support the presence of a large,potentially supergene enriched zone at the base of the oxidised zone(-250-500M).This target and theory has not been adequately tested.

* Drilling to date has not adequately tested the near surface(<200M) mineralised environment,and it is feasible for several sizeable,open-pittable heap leachable deposits to be present within the three target areas observed.

Supergene definition.

In ore deposit geology, supergene processes or enrichment occur relatively near the surface. Supergene processes include the predominance of meteoric water circulation with concomitant oxidation and chemical weathering. The descending meteoric waters oxidize the primary (hypogene) sulfide ore minerals and redistribute the metallic ore elements. Supergene enrichment occurs AT THE BASE OF THE OXIDISED PORTION of an ore deposit at which point the metals are redeposited on hypogene sulfides CREATING A ZONE OF INCREASED ORE CONTENT. This is particularly noted in copper ore deposits where the copper sulfide minerals chalcocite, covellite, digenite and djurleite are deposited by the descending surface waters.
