yeah and I was looking for an excuse to head back over to South America as well!! might have to take a couple of 'samples' of ore for posterities sake.

I actually spent some time learning Spanish in Cusco a couple of years ago. During/following the hyperinflation suffered in Peru in the early 90's, the couple I stayed with (both retired) had put all their savings into gold (about 5kg's or so); they simply no longer trusted paper money...they just kept the gold hidden somewhere in the house!!!

It's an interesting case study for what may happen when the USD goes the same way as the sole!

If I recall correctly though, the 242g/t hit came from Tocantins in Brazil - so I'll have to add Brazil to the itinerary for the next trip!
