The pundits say Murali is harder to pick. Just recently Lara and Kevin Peterson of England confirm that.
To some degree I agree that you can't compare a leggie and and offie but Murali's stats are better than Warns.
Sub continent teams are better players of spin so that itself is a handicap for Murali.
Warne got a load of wickets against England throughout his career. These are the bunies of spin.
Plus Warne had the privilege of top quality fast bowlers intimidating the batsmen at the other end, so it was easier for him to some degree. In Murali's case it was him alone most of the time. He is only now enjoying and relaxing a bit with the pocket rocket Lasit Malinga doing his slinging.
Lets give credit where credit is due. We Aussies are just biased and sometimes just stupid and pig headed.
