Under current ASX conditions you could announce that MMX have discovered a new carbon free resource that will cure cancer and the fundamentals wouldn't change that much. My board this week has been bleeding despite some solid announcements.

MMX board appointments are a solid step and most reporters (these have form) will speculate on the man not the ball, reignite old speculation despite the calibre of non-execs being appointed. The West's press reflects that and will get syndicated across other News Ltd business pages and yet in some press to date they have promoted the positive.

I would speculate that PK may probably welcome a move away from the firing line under the duress suffered in recent times, though who really knows. Until he moves away from his 5%, he will continue to play a pivotal role.

Expect a change in affairs when the BFS is provided, until then just have patience.
