Indeed, mate. I spent two days trying to contact "Janet" who never answered her phone, lol. And she was the ONE person in the whole US to issue US Defence Dept Export permits.....and time was running out. Due to time differences, I rang a gun dealer in Texas, who couldnt help because he didnt export. He gave me the number for the NRA, who he said would put me straight...and they did.....so cooley and professionally....awesome. Oh, and the NRA guy said "Your problems will start in Australia" lol. And they did, but all was resolved eventually. Hey, the NRA was the coolest and most professional mob I ever dealt with against the powers that be.
The "If you have problems, call us" gave confidence.
Dunno if i'll ever get over there again, due to health/wealth, but was thinking of becoming a member.
