IMO that's spot on! As if our daily lives should revolve around the antics of narcissistic people [our pollies] who mainly have legal backgrounds & who neither really understand us nor truly represent mainstream Aussies.
IMO many of our journalists do not see themselves as reporting the news, rather, they see themselves as holding pollies to account & exerting as much influence over them as possible.
IMO the Murdoch media crisis is providing unprecedented insights into the machinations of our modern, globalised media & the threat it poses to all societies - democratic & non-democratic alike ... not a pretty story folks!
