AS your headline says, Islamists are indeed at war with the world and, as with the Paris murderers, many will have been nurtured in the West (9/1). There is now a sizeable and growing fifth column in our midst that was born and raised in the West, but through conflicting loyalties to an all-controlling religious ideology that countenances no dissent, has learned to loathe everything our civilisation stands for and sees us as the enemy to be conquered or destroyed.
When the history of the 20th century is studied in the future, the collective decision by the West to embrace multiculturalism and import Islam into the heart of its hard-won Enlightenment culture in the latter half of that century will be seen as more catastrophic for Western civilisation than both world wars put together.
