the NBC deal certainly complicates any Fox / PBH partnership in the US.
im not sure if the NBC deal has lived up to expectations or not, and whether thats NBCs lack of effort or just the fact media deals are hard to execute. kind of why ESPN still has not done anything , its not an easy process.
bottom line , and pbh have lived the real life experience, bang for buck might not be there , i dont know.
maybe its the branding rather than the platform, in that, even if we put pointsbet on the platter , the fact that its not a household name in the US means it will forever struggle to take hold....
fox bet on the other hand, could be the one. its a different proposition to the NBC deal, they dont have an NBC bet sportsbook, while they do they sports edge, that is not book, although has proven popular.
fox bet can work imo, i can vision watching a fox sports channel , seeing live odds pop up every play , feeding through the inplay props and odds.
i can def see the products lining up, watch fox sports 1 and open your fox bet account and lets have a seamless experience.
see what tab have done in Oz with their "in venue" offers.
but how do the murdochs overcome what appears to be a stranglehold on the branding fron flutter??
fox can buy the option today for a 50% of foxbet USA, or do they wait til aug to terminate it and try take 100% , im not sure of the specific agreements on all of that....
if fox exc their option on flutter then they could in affect own 59% of fox bet and therefore own the majority stake, is that an option ???
keen to see how this plays out , bottom line for me, as a shareholder, we could really supercharge our branding, bottom line, upside, chance of success etc.. if we could find a way to uplift our brand and or partner with someone the likes of murdochs who chase and demand success more than anyone..
i fear , left to fight alone, in the midst of further macro conditions going against us , it might be a battle not worth pursuing.....
