Just watched air head supremo Sarah Hanson whatsaname rabbiting on about the Murray Darling situation. She was saying that although so much has been allocated to the environment it has not appeared in the river because some nasty irrigators have sucked it out . Granted some irrigators have stolen water & will be dealt with in time but the real reason the water has not poured down the gully to magically appear at the SA border is because ...wait for it ...IT HAS NOT RAINED...the ongoing drought in QLD & NSW sits squarely over the catchment of the system .
