Hunter Water has put the region on notice that it may have to introduce water restrictions in May if it doesn't rain. Hunter Water have for the last 5 or so years been forwarding water onto Sydney from hunter reserves as Sydney have not built any new dams. Oh and their Botany desal.......well I am not sure its done a tap since built by the AlP for $2B.
Anyway, a new dam at Tilligherry in the Hunter was defeated by the greenies a few years back. Since then there was the April 2015 rain event (a severe east coast low) which dumped around 500mm of rain in two days across the entire Hunter Region. It filled existing dams but can anyone imagine how much water the region would have if we could only get rid of these commies that choke government and private investment.
If we end up like South Africa SHY and her comrades should be publicly flogged!
