ahh, the same ol' "if they were any good why didn't they get bought by such and such" argument
well, maybe it's because:
1. getting listed on ASX gives them the funding to grow the business how they see fit, and potentially become a large influential company
2. reverse listing allows them to keep much greater ownership and control of the company than the venture capital route
3. the founder/inventor can see the potential, and would rather create something big that he owns, than take the easy road and just get bought out and become just another "department" of a giant corporation and answer to ignorant management
4. same reason other companies didn't get bought out at inception. did whatsapp get bought out in the first year for $100m? or did they get bought out after they had hundreds of millions of customers and get bought out for $20billion. why did snapchat refuse buyout offers? etc... getting bought out / acquired is not a hallmark of what makes a company great
