    Tech argument/information from my perspective

Yes, it is known that FPGA/ASICs boards, which are specialised in one specific task, will be more efficient at doing that particular task than a general purpose CPU.

No, Brainchip is not the only player in this space. There are other companies trying to do the same thing.

It is just another step in a continuum, no breakthroughs are truly made in isolation. If you look at all the previous significant inventors - such as Nikola Tesla, Einstein, etc, - while we read in the history book they "invented" something, in reality it was many scientists working on the same/similar problem at same time, often in complete isolation of each other.

There are many individuals and companies trying to make a more efficient AI that uses low power and works in parallel. Some make small steps towards progress, and some make larger steps. Brainchip seems to be the one with most complex neurons, best speed, and best efficiency. Similar example would be Weebit company (ASX.RAD) - there are many many many players working on ReRAM technology, but Weebits one seems to be the best across the board, in some aspects better by a factor of 10, and in some aspects better by a factor of 10,000 than the competition.

If PVDM wasn't around, then eventually specialist AI chips might get to the same stage as Brainchip in the future... but also they might not. We might just been happy with a chip that was 100x faster than current chips, instead of 1,000x faster, just as an example. It still would have been an improvement, but not such a clear winner and as significant of a "disruptive" factor. Who knows....

All I know is that AI is an incredibly hot space with many players, and if you have a superior product you will make a lot of money. Even a small piece of the AI pie is very significant. I think Brainchip's superior technology will have a large piece of the pie.
