You make a good point Flight. The other obvious source of cash would be a working capital facility from their bank(s) - backed by orders. However a wily cashed up customer (Apple...?) could potentially fund their own orders / provide the working capital for perhaps some preferential treatment (e.g first few million chips or the like). I doubt they'll struggle for cash once this is a market ready product at all and shouldn't have to dilute the share-holding unless they really want to.
