The point here was that acquisitions like the Intel:Mobile Eye deal are far more likely when revenue is present: it is revenue that is the ultimate proof enabling an acquirer (and shareholders) to evaluate costs, profit margins, projections (including taking share of a new market) based on actual data. Mobileye had sub-billion dollar valuations for many years until revenue.
