Sounds like good common sense rather than pssing money on a buyback which would do nothing to address the reason why the shareprice is below par in the first place - ensuring future long term production.
What does this mean exactly: "The strategy is to buy into a play where oil is about to be produced in Aus or NZ at 50c in the $. " ?
Does it mean they are looking to take advantage of financially distressed near-producers who have the oil in the ground but cant finance production? If so, great to be on the giving end of that sort of treatment, rather than the recieving end for a change ;)
