musings on the reason for the trading halt, page-2

    Gupper,

I tend to agree that the news is likely to be positive.

Theoretically, IPR could call a trading halt before announcing that the patent has been finally ruled invalid and they are discontinuing all further action....

    But I doubt it.

And the rise in price and volume - suspiciously positive.

As mentioned previously, the downside is about $5m in costs if the SAR decision goes badly. Even then, IPR is still trading under its cash position. (And the $5m becomes a tax-offset anyway, so the actual costs would only be 70% of the $5m).

BUT if it is a win/and or a big settlement, the VALUE of IPR would increase by at least 100% (what the sp actually does is another thing!)

Good luck to all. I won't be posting for the next month due to a European holiday. Hope to see IPR over 20 cents when I return! : )
