    That much is obvious. You do seem willing, however, to believe the stories you are being told by Right-wing Americans and Musk himself.

    The whole takeover thing is looking more and more like a toddler's temper tantrum. Musk does not seem to have a viable business model other than to annoy the longest serving users and most prolific content providers. He seems to be inviting a crowd of mostly US resident morons to pile onto anyone with a contrary view and to give those morons protection from basic standards of online moderation, even with respect to hate speech and threats of violence. His customers (those who provide the eyeballs for his advertisers) are actively looking for alternatives at the same time he is planning to charge them US$8/month for the privilege of being doxxed, threatened and abused. Gee, I wonder where this will lead?
