An even bigger deal, IMO, is the sub-text in various Gov announcements over the last week or so is that The Market can no longer be trusted to deliver for consumers. This is a big shift,, as The Market (all bow down) was supposed to provide riches for all. Seems the only certainty when left to itself is that it provides huge profits for large companies. We are dealing with a religion there, not sound economics.
