    once a person compromises his principles, his argument for a principled stand on an issue becomes his own preferential treatment of the issue on hand.

    ozexplorer, you cannot have your cake and eat it too.

    It is very similar to many of the right wingers' approach to politics: it is Ok for Liberals to do it, but, heaven forbids, it is hell when Labor does it. It explains why so many of the right wingers here find it hard to critical Liberals' policies and behaviour.
