9L, read your opening post carefully and more importantly, read the article you referenced carefully. Your answer was in the article - moderate Islam was not speaking out against the extremists - that was the point that radio group had made clear in the article (I'll happily re-post their comments if you like), as opposed to what you tried to claim in your post - their initiative is intended to change this attitude. I wish them good luck - they will need plenty of support, including from people like yourself and others to encourage more to finally speak out and even more importantly to act.
