A Saudi man divorced his wife after discovering a picture of her kissing a horse on various social media networks.
According to frontpagemag, the unnamed woman said she had published the photo of her kissing a horse at a farm near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, herself.
She added that her divorce has not made her regret kissing the horse.
From Saudi newspaper Sada:
“The wife said she is not sorry for what she did and was not upset by splitting from a man who cannot distinguish between humans and animals. She said she is very proud about that picture as it expresses her love for Arabian horses.”
It seems that this brave woman probably isn’t the only Saudi lady who would rather kiss a horse than her husband as the divorce rate in Saudi Arabia has reportedly gone up by 21%.
Kuwait News reports that the husband first saw the picture on Twitter and was infuriated to see his wife acting “spontaneously.”
He responded by engaging in a Muslim practice known as the Triple Talak, telling his wife “I divorce you” three times.
In some Muslim sects, this is what a man must do to properly and spiritually end a holy union with a woman.
