The earliest known inhabitants of the region were the Canaanites, and modern Palestinians are the direct descendants. The Hebrew Bible itself acknowledges the presence Canaanites before the arrival of the Israelites
Jews have lived in Egypt for a longer continuous period than they have in Israel as a modern nation-state. The most significant period is the Exodus, traditionally dated to the 13th century BCE, when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt.
They didn't split Egypt in half in 1947 because Egypt was strong and could fight back. Palestinians were weak and could not fight back.
That's they decided to divide Palestine in half on 1947 despite voting no from Palestinians.
