I agree with you on the point that some people tend to use their religions for their personal gains and benefits. Greed,lust, envy etc. are detrimental to anyones humanity. However, I disagree with you about existence of higher intelligence that created humans and everything else in universe. William A. Dembski states " Anything that has a complexity and specification requires a creator". If you see a written book do you think that letters came together in a perfect order by themselves and created a specific material written on a piece of paper?
In a similar fassion why does a bee know what to do from its early inception. Why does it, from the time that it is born looks back everytime it leaves its hive.
Furthermore, why is it that if the earth was 1 millionth off its directional course there would be no life on earth.
What really bakes my cooky is that, why every creature on earth knows what to do instinctively and humans have to go through years of study and struggle to learn to survive.
The only answer in my mind is that humans are created to learn, recognise and believe in the creator of everything by witnessing complexity and specification in other beings and universe as a whole. Unfortunately, the ones that are driven by their carnal desires miss this concept completely.
Now we come to believing in messengers sent from higher intelligence as a mercy to huminity... but that's another topic altogether.
