the problem is that all believers in Gods and followers of religions are weaklings - that is exactly why they have such beliefs. That may be hard for some to get to grips with - but, it is fact. It is simply when a human has not the strength to walk the earth alone and lives in fear that they turn to a God - and if there isn't one there - they invent one.
So far - no problem. The problem comes when some of the weaklings - sometimes disaffected, sometimes not - use their God or their religion to gather power, abuse power or wield power.
You see this in EVERY religion. Some religions go as far as killing - sometimes their own, sometimes non believers, often followers of other religions - all in the quest for power - all in the quest to satiate their own insecurities - ie. their weakness.
Many use it to JUSTIFY their actions ------------- it is no matter what religions - they are all the same - hence it doesn't matter whether they are yelling 'Ali Akbar' or standing on a deck giving a speech saying 'In God we Trust' -- the mechanism is 'exactly' the same.
It is justification of the use and abuse of power by weaklings in the name of their God ------------ and it is always an invented fantasy - then added to through the centuries to suit the purpose of the time.
Now, the additional problem.
Because you are dealing with weaklings - when you get some radicalised mob - within - or even pretending to be within ----------- there is no guts to deal with it ------------ because of the weakness.
Their belief is in their God ------------- God will look after them and God will protect them and God will look after the problem, sort it out - and the outcome will be God's will.
ie. ------------- one way to put it ----------------------- it's up to God - not us.
Ask not if the weak will inherit the earth --------- they already have.
have a great day all

I wouldn't call people who believe in Gods weaklings.
Some religious zealots are just too possessive in believing their God is better than other people's Gods. Have a peek in the "Philosophy & Religion" forum, the same people are there everyday arguing with each other, on and on and on ....
If they do meet in person, I suspect they will be arguing with each other everyday ....
