I fear saying this as it is not directly on the Muslim issue but it is on the question of a strict religious minority in a Western Country. It concerns a particular Jewish sect of strict orthodox Jews in Manchester UK. It was reported on in the programme Heart and Soul on the BBC over the week end. The community have as many children as possible and they go out of their way to make sure the children learn the ancient Hebrew texts. But the normal learning is not important. They have Drs and Dentists etc but the rest do not do at all well. Consequently they are going to sink further down the social ladder.
