IMO No religious group in Australia will be able to convince a majority that their religious dogma over-rides that of our secular democracy. Even the Muslim religion is that divided in application that as you say its bound over time to diminish in influence and achieve greater integration. On the other hand, radicalisation and incidents of terrorism will in fact give cause to limit immigration to this country, prevent family re-unions, and make it difficult for them to prosper happily in this wonderful country. That in itself should hopefully be an incentive for most to live peacefully within our secular system.
