My suspicion is that an announcement will come AFTER the capital raising is completed. Then when an issue has been made, buy orders of several hundred k will appear on the bid. This will force the small fish to eat whatever is on the ask and drive up the share price. The share price will go up a good few percentage points. Then a glorious announcement will be made with bells and whistles about how many TCF are in place and how many quazillions its gonna make shareholders.

The share price will open up about 15-20% and the placement takers will take their profit along with whoever is chewing their nails to get out. The markup in price will disappear quickly in the next few days if there is no concrete plan or timelines in the announcement. This is exactly what happened last time round if you see the announcements and chart on 25/2 and 28/2.

The other thing that may jinx the timing of announcements is the 48m shares coming out of escrow on 20 April 2011. Will the announcements be made to suit these shareholders some of whom might be itching to sell and will those shareholders wait to sell into strength or will they sell regardless?
