Middle Eastern countries desire live exports so that animals can be killed by their Religious Standards which is another torturous event for these animals after their horrible journey!
These sheep looked deplorable compared to the healthy state they boarded the ship. How they could even be fit for consumption after being starved, dehydrated and covered in fecaes is unbelievable!
The cost of meat in Australian food markets is extremely high, keep the sheep here for our consumption. The farmers would still get similar income to the overseas prices they get now!
I'm a meat eater and not an activist but seeing those animals in that state was unacceptable as a civilised Exporter!
