good morning C S T,
yes i agree that what happened to that sheep consignment is unacceptable by any normal persons standards,
my wife cried in august last year when it was shown, and she cried again last night, yes i cried last august too, last night i didnt cry, because i have hardened up and i understand that machinery can and does break down, yes including you and me,
in my opinion, the whistle blower is hardly an ambassador of ethics and integrity, so im racist now am i, please,
how about the federal and state departments get of there backsides and do some background checks on our little whistle blower, to see how much money was deposited into his bank account and lets check phone and email records just to make sure, so now im a conspiracy theorist , am i, please,
okay lets look at the ship, that ship is old and will be taken out of service in the next few years, brand new ships are being designed with all the latest mod cons and technology, as well as new welfare and safety standards that are above and beyond,
the sheep also needed to be shorn, but if you look at the rules of that part of the export, the sheep must have a certain length of wool or will not be allowed to sell, there rules not ours,
i dont agree that live export of cattle and sheep should be banned,
sheep and cattle live export has been done successfully and humanely for as long as i can remember,
in this particular case, the sheep are taken from the south of the world were the temperature is considerably lower than the destination point, which is in the high 40 degree mark,
i remember that on one particular voyage, a few years ago, the air con system on one of the ships, failed, which led to some deaths,
Australian standards are at the forefront in every industry around the world, building industry, livestock industry, mining industry, oil and gas,
etc,
in my opinion, all the do gooders and tree huggers need to sit down and shut up, and listen and look and learn, and stop beating up on something where quite frankly, shit happens, shit happens in the mining industry, shit happens in the oil and gas industry, shit happens in the health department, shit happens mate shit just happens, its just shit that just happens,
whos fault is it, well its eveybodys fault, stop jumping on the band wagon and take sides,
what about all the towns and families that depend on this side of industy to survive,
what if we started jumping up and down about a couple of mines out in the desert that are not compliying with the EPA regs, i bet you wouldnt shut down the mining industry, because astraya needs the mining indusrty too,
lets all start using some brains instead of emotional blackmail, from the main culprits who are starting all of this garbage, you all know who the culprits are,
the system works, and has worked successfully, shit happens, lets fix up the shit so that way it cant happen again or it can be significantly reduced, that way, everybody becomes a lot more tolerant,
btw, i lose perfectly healthy sheep on my farm for no apparent reason, even though i do everything right and by the book,
clean water, vaccinations, drenching backlining, hay, feed supplementation, shearing twice a year, and i still lose sheep from foxes and eagles,
bloody hell, ive even had a sheep die while i was shearing it, what the hell happened there,
time to take a deep breath and stop listening to all the righteous no bodies,
all the best,
