This is more or less correct, not sure about zero but will not be the leading coin.
Bitcoin's blockchain is the issue. It's like the old tech coin already and the people at the top are restricting it from moving forward to improve hashrates, transaction rates and cost per transactions, so it can never be used to overtake in the "real world" like fiat money.

Exit from Bitcoin to newertech, better tech, easier systems, and more importantly faster transactions.
You also have "hack" concerns, when I first bought in 2009 since I've seen at least 100,000 bitcoins stolen.

Larger online stores ie: Amazon have patent for own blockchain, if this becomes online use then it will overtake bitcoin within days.

The other way it could go to zero is:

Miners stop, well mining due to costs outweighing rewards.

If this happens then there will be no one to verify/confirm transactions, and blocks will stop getting solved. This also means, the bitcoin network will become prone to 51% attack and if some hacker attempts that, the whole bitcoin network will collapse.

Remove the Internet - and electricity from modern life would be the only other way.
