Exceeding expectations, per se, is meaningless. Depends on what the expectations are. Nevertheless is does appear that RMS's outlook appears promising.
A couple of points from other posts I've read in the past by different posters.
Some have talked of $2/share, as having been achieved. On info available no chance of repeating that. At that time they were mining Wattle Dam. They were measuring grades, not in g/t, but ozs/t, or at least oz/t. Effective they were loading 200t dump trucks in the gold fields, and letting the dirt blow off along Gt. Eastern H'way, so by the time they got to the Hay St Mint, they had tons gold d'ore in the back. (SLIGHT exaggeration).
Options. Suggest some here get a grip in things. Yes, if POG and other prospects, keep on improving current option prices will appear cheap. But as things stand they are overly priced. Suggest newbies familiarise yourselves with the Black–Scholes model. The main functions of pricing options are the strike/exercise price, time to expiry, interest rate and volatility. Of these time and volatility are the most changeable. Time decay is NOT lineal, but gentle downwards curve till near expiration when curve rapidly falls to zero. A lot of the price of the option is because of high volatility of the last few weeks. A look at the yearly chart (with volume) makes this apparent. If SP doesn't keep appreciating, or volatility continue, the Oppies will quickly come back towards fair value, maybe half of what they are.
Having said that (forgetting B-S) lets do a couple of extreme examples. Say RMS' SP rises to 54 cents by mid July. SP increase = 4 times. Oppies= 6.5 times. Say 27c. double & just over double. All good for oppies. Less than 25c the heads are better. Don't forget that company oppies, (unlike ETOs where the bigger players are involved) usually trade at discount near expiration because smaller players holding too many arn't able to convert. Below 19c and you start to lose money with the opps.
If POG holds I think RMS are cheap, but beware many things can go wrong. I doubled up twice at higher prices, which I don't usually like doing. I don't hold oppies.
